WHOO I made it to week five. I’m so happy to be down here ((even though I miss texas a ton)) and everyday I feel like I’m learning and experiencing something new. I’m loving my job so much that I’m POSSIBLY thinking about extending and staying here this summer…I have a lot to think about so we’ll see what happens!!
Tuesday was spent in Magic Kingdom all. day. long. We spent the morning with Alice, Mary Poppins, Tigger, Pooh, and the Mad Hatter at the character breakfast at 1900 park fare at the Grand Floridian ((wow that’s a mouthful)). The breakfast we had was the most food and best meal I’ve had since I’ve been here. It was delicious. Wonderful fruits, mickey shaped waffles, yummy crepes, and the best strawberry “soup” I’ve ever had filled us up for our big day ahead of us. Yes that’s right, strawberry soup, which is basically a smoothie you eat with a spoon. After breakfast we spent all day in Magic Kingdom. Watching festival of fantasies, riding haunted mansion way too many times ((and getting stuck)), seeing space mountain in the LIGHT ((magical experience ruined)), and crying during wishes. Overall it was another wonderful, exhausting day.

Wednesdaywas grocery day. It’s pretty much an all day task because of the busses. I’ve been spoiled the last few weeks because my roommates have always asked if I wanted to go to the grocery store with them but they were all at work so I had to bus it this time. For weeks now I’ve seen people carrying these suitcases around and I’ve been stumped because I always thought they were going out of town or something. It finally CLICKED and I realized that these people were going to the grocery store and carrying their groceries back in their suitcases!! BRILLIANT! So I gathered up my biggest suitcase, walked to the bus stop, grocery shopped at walmart, packed my suitcase full of my groceries and trekked back to my apartment. Let me remind you that I have to walk 15 minutes to and from the bus stop. I was scarred for a while that my ice cream was going to melt but luckily it didn’t and everything got back in tact. It was a fun experience and I’m forever grateful I have a car back in Texas.

Saturday: the strangest holiday of them all. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I spent the day being surrounded by 100 chocolate covered strawberries…that I made…at work…for other lovely couples…HOW ROMANTIC. I can always count on my mom and dad though to shower me with love even if I’m 1000 miles away from them. They sent me a cute little valentines day gift filled with chocolate, cookies, and of course Disney stuff ((thx mom and dad, love you more)). My roommate works photo pass at Magic Kingdom and she was telling us all about the proposals that she’s been shooting recently—love is in the air. How magical is it to propose to the one you love at the happiest place on earth. *ahhhhhhhh*

Thoughts this Week
1. I like when tourists come to me at the register and hold their hand out full of change implying that they want me to count out the change for them. I never realized how confusing foreign currency is.
2. we haven’t had TV for a week and now we have limited wifi because of everyone moving into Patterson
3. I know I’ve said this before and I’ll probably say it again, but strollers are LITERALLY the worst thing on this planet.
4. we got stuck on haunted mansion twice the other day and it was terrifying.
5. seeing space mountain in the light was strange/cool/scary/interesting and everything in between
6. going to try ((but will probably not accomplish)) to eat at every dining location on property
7. blessed with the best parents and family in the world ((see you in a month mom and dad!!))
8. I miss my car
