Happy almost one month since I started my program!! ((technically three weeks, but this is blog post four so I’ve decided I’ve been here a month—but it definitely does NOT feel like a month))

Sunday I noticed this little concrete art in the sidewalk on my way to work. I think it’s kinda cool that I walk to Goofy’s on this sidewalk and that it has “Goofy” etched into it….oh the irony. Every time I walk by it now I’m going to remind myself how amazing it is to work here and how many magical memories I get to create for guests. I may not always want to go to work but its the happiness and smiles from the guests that make my days better. “We create happiness”

MondayI FINALLY had the day off. I closed the last four days so it was nice to sleep in, enjoy my morning coffee, andnot do anything for the day. Well, actually, that last one is hard. See when you LIVE in Disney and get into the parks for FREE, it’s hard for you to actually take a day off and do nothing. There is so much to do here and the parks are calling your name everyday. So instead of doing nothing, my roommates and I went to Hollywood Studios for the day. I wouldn’t say Hollywood Studios is my favorite park but I do enjoy it because of Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. We had tons of fun ((even with the random downpour of rain and flat tire)). We made a pit stop at the Art of Animation Resort on the way back home and it is way cool. I would definitely recommend staying there/would love to stay there myself!

gotta try olivia’s café at the old key west resort
and get their french dip sandwich

Tuesday we ventured to Epcot yet again. I can’t seem to get away — I believe I’ve been at least once a week since I’ve been here. That’s ok though because I like Epcot and today we even explored a new area that either I’ve never seen, or I don’t remember seeing. I don’t ever remember seeing the Living Seas and Finding Nemo part of Epcot from visits in the past, and that’s sad because it’s SO COOL! We learned the aquarium there has 500 billion ((it may also be 5 or 50 billion…I cant remember what the cast member said)) gallons of water in it making it the second largest aquarium. They also had manatees there which were awesome because who doesn’t love the hippos of the sea?!? The best thing about Epcot today though was the fact that JOHN STAMOS was also at the park today. Now don’t get too excited…I didn’t meet him or even see him, but it’s cool to think that I was in the same park as Uncle Jesse ((have mercy)).

all these beads are made with Disney park guides and maps HOW COOL
may have ordered one of everything lol
jk just the crème brulee
FINALLY remembered to bring my gopro to the parks
literally under the sea
hello mr. stingray ((HE WAS HUGE))

wow Tuesday was just a busy day((yes there’s more)). After the parks my friends and I decided to have a taco Tuesday dinner followed by a party bus experience. Let’s just say it was interesting…the bus took us to senor frogs and we danced the night away with our fellow CPs. It kinda reminded me of the parties at tech except tech parties are a bit more less-memorable ((catchin my drift??)) ANYWAY it was a fun night and we had the coolest uber driver too! Thanks Rahal!

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were filled with work. I had a lot of morning and day shifts this week which are not my fav. I would rather work at night and have all day to do whatever. I did however find time to write some postcards and enjoy coffee from my new favorite mug!! I found this little goofy candy company gem at co-op in downtown which is like the best store ever.

Thoughts this Week

1. help I’m obsessed with Earl of Sandwich

2. I’m proud to say I’m getting better at military time ((EVERYTHING is in military time at Disney))

3. I love that Disney calls shot glasses “toothpick holders”

4. the cable stopped working on our TV so now the only channel we can watch is the college program Disney channel…my life is officially all Disney now

5. update: our smoke alarm still goes off every time we use the oven and stove

6. I saw an armadillo and was immediately confused because I thought they only lived in Texas

7. I’m loving my job and the people I work with so much

8. I miss my car
